Founder and Chairman, George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations

Since 1975, Neil Bush has visited China more than 140 times and has toured over forty Chinese cities. He is the founder and serves as the Chairman of the George H.W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, an organization named after his father; the 41st President of the United States who served as Chief of the U.S. Liaison Office in Beijing during the mid-1970s. The Foundation seeks to advance bilateral relations in ways that reflect the ethos, spirit, and values of its namesake. Mr. Bush graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in International Economics, and subsequently earned a Master’s in Business Administration. He also serves as Chairman of Points of Light, the Bush School of Government and Public Service Advisory Board. Together with his wife, Maria Chair, he runs the Barbara Bush Celebration of Reading as an initiative of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation.
